Some people have everything figured out — Andrea Nash is not one of those people. After being kicked out of the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid, Andrea’s whole existence is in shambles. All she can do is try to put herself back together, something made easier by working for Cutting Edge, a small investigative firm owned by her best friend, Kate Daniels.

When several shapeshifters working for Raphael Medrano — the male alpha of Clan Bouda and Andrea’s former lover — die unexpectedly at a dig site, Andrea is assigned to investigate … and must work with Raphael. As her search for the killer leads her into the secret underbelly of supernatural Atlanta, Andrea knows that dealing with her feelings for Raphael might have to take a backseat to saving the world …

You guys!  I have recently been diving in to the completely kick-ass world of Ilona Andrews’ Kate Daniels series and loving it.  This past week the cover was revealed for the newest installment, Gunmetal Magic.  Instead of Kate, we’ll get to see Andrea featured.  I just met Andrea while reading Magic Burns, and can’t wait to see more from this sharp-shooting, take-no-prisoners woman.  I also like this cover quite a bit better than either of the first two Kate ones.

They got a different artist from the one that does the Kate covers and I think it looks good. I can't wait to read this! Ilona Andrews is an auto-buy author for me. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the other Kate books (and the Edge books if you get to read them as well as their romantic sci-fi novellas :P)

  2. I'm reading Magic Bites right now so I think this is a great pick! My WoWKimberly @ Turning The Pages

*dances the Ilona Andrews dance*These books are brilliant, right? The Gunmetal Magic cover sort of reminds me of the Guild Hunter covers, even though I liked them and am definitely not a big fan of Andrea's cover. *le sigh* But in Ilona Andrews' case you really shouldn't ever judge a book by it's cover, I suppose. *g*Anyway, great pick!!Patricia // My WOW

Oooh, I didn't realize it was a different artist as it has a very similar feel what with the magic-destroyed Atlanta in the background. I do prefer this artwork then. I do plan on reading the Edge books, but probably not till after I catch up on Kate!

Agreed! Honestly, I never would have picked up the Kate Daniels books because of their covers, but I heard SO many good things I Just had to. Glad I did!
