Giveaway: June is #Audiomonth, Let’s Celebrate with Roald Dahl!
9June 14, 2014 by Heidi
That’s right all, June is Audiobook Month! That makes it one of the greatest months in bookish love year round as far as this audiophile is concerned. Even better, the Audio Publisher’s Association has decided to celebrate with a month of giveaways!
Each day in June marks the giveaway of another Audie Award winner around the blogosphere, and today yours truly is thrilled to be handing out the winner of the Children’s Age 8-12 (aka Middle Grade) category — Matilda by Roald Dahl!
You may remember my fangirling (just a bit) over this production with the lovely and talented Kate Winslet bringing to life a story I now love even more. If not, please do check it out–it’ll make you want to listen. Hands down, Matilda won my vote to take the Audie, putting it above two of my absolute favorite narrators (Bahni Turpin for Sugar and Katherine Kellgren for Magic Marks the Spot), an impressive feat if I do say so. And I obviously wasn’t the only one who thought so as Matilda took the Audie home!
You can follow all of the APA June #audiomonth giveaways on Facebook or Twitter using the hastags #audiomonth or #Audies2014.
