At Tor.com: The Caller by Juliet Marillier
2September 6, 2014 by Heidi
In all series, but in the YA set in particular, it is so utterly rare to uncover a series that truly builds as it goes. Juliet Marillier’s Shadowfell series is one of them, the three books acting as one long slow burning story that improves with each step along the way.
A series where I started with little more than disdain for the Care Bear main character and ended with her burrowed deep into my heart. Part epic revolution, part sweeping romance, The Caller brings to life two characters who risk love for everything rather than risking everything for love.

I haven’t read any of the Shadowfell books! I’m behind on catching up on Juliet Marillier’s novels. I have a couple of unread ones in my TBR pile.
I have TONS of unread Marillier! I absolutely adore her books, but I feel like they hit me so hard it takes a while for me to be ready to read another. This series was nowhere near Sevenwaters as a whole, but I particularly loved this last installment.
